Sirius pursues an aggressive patent strategy to protect our research and development breakthroughs. Sirius' patents and applications cover our pharmacogenomic diagnostic tests and their use in conjunction with appropriate drugs in the treatment of inflammatory conditions, including sepsis. Included in Sirius' patent portfolio are applications directed to the use of various single nucleotide polymorphisms and combinations to predict patient outcome following treatment with activated protein C.

Sirius also relies on trade secret protection and contractual rights to safeguard its know-how and non-patent proprietary information.
