Database
Our proprietary clinical database was developed by our co-founders at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia. It contains both genetic data and clinical information from critically ill patients. (This information is disconnected from any personal data that could identify the individual person to comply with privacy issues.) The data in the database has been collected over the past five years and continues to grow on a daily basis. Currently, there are over 4200 patients in the database from both the general Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the cardiac surgery ICU. Sirius Genomics has an exclusive license to this database from the University of British Columbia.
